The only way to ensure that photographs have a chance of long time survival in the digital age is to make hard copies of them.

Prints are one option which I use occasionally, but more frequently I gather collections of pictures together and use online print services to produce small page-count zines or larger books.

Mostly I make only one or two copies for myself, but occasionally larger runs for distribution, either sold to cover costs, given away as thank-yous to those who appear in the pictures, or sometimes for participation in zine swaps.
